How Do I Quickly Complete Identity Verification on G2G?
To ensure the best image quality during identity verification, we recommend using a mobile device with one of the following browsers, as mobile cameras generally provide better results than webcams:
Android: Firefox or Chrome
iOS: Safari
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Scan the QR Code
Use a QR code scanner on your mobile phone or tablet to begin the verification process.
iOS: You can use your default camera app, which includes a QR scanner.
Android: You can use your camera if supported or install a QR scanner app from the Google Play Store.
You may also continue the process on a computer with a webcam if needed.
2. Select Your Country or Region and Document Type
Make sure the country or region and document type you choose match the identification document you plan to upload.
3. Prepare Your Document
Only physical identification documents are accepted. This includes a valid government-issued driver’s licence, passport, or ID card.
Place the document clearly within the camera frame and make sure:
The image is clear
There is no glare or reflection
All text is fully visible and readable
Then click the camera button to take the photo.
4. Confirm or Retake
After taking the image, click Confirm if the photo is clear. If not, click Retake and try again.
5. Capture the Back of Your ID
Repeat the same process for the back of your ID document.
Once the image is clear, click Confirm.
6. Take a Selfie
You will then be asked to take a selfie. Click Start Now to continue.
Please make sure to:
Position your face properly within the frame
Avoid wearing sunglasses, hats, or anything that covers your face
Stand in front of a plain background or clear wall
7. Follow the On-Screen Instructions
You may be asked to complete a simple action, such as smiling, while the camera captures your image.
8. Capture and Confirm Your Selfie
Click the camera button to take your selfie.
If the image is clear, click Confirm. If not, click Retake and try again.
9. Completion Notification
Once all required images have been submitted and successfully validated, you will receive a notification confirming that the verification process is complete.
Virtual Card Verification Requirement
To help maintain a secure and compliant verification process, please review the following requirements for virtual card verification:
1. Standard Requirement
If you make a payment using a standard virtual card, you may be required to upload an image from the virtual card app showing the following details:
The first 6 digits and the last 4 digits of the card number
The cardholder’s name
The card expiration date
2. Exception for One-Time Use Virtual Cards
Some virtual cards are designed for one-time use only. In these cases, the standard verification requirement may not apply.
If you inform our support team through a ticket that your virtual card is a one-time use or disposable card, the standard virtual card requirement may be waived.
Instead, you may be asked to provide an alternative proof of identity document.
3. Consequences of Not Providing the Required Information
If you do not let us know that the card used is a one-time use virtual card, the standard virtual card image may still be requested. This may lead to:
Order cancellation upon request, or
Expiration of the verification process
